1. Ni — Leading Function: Time

INFp’s main strength is a refined sense of time, anticipation of events, and understanding of their hidden meaning. They see how processes change, sense the atmosphere of the moment, and can predict where things are going. It is important to them to feel the flow of life and its deeper essence.

2. Fe — Creative Function: Emotions

INFp knows how to work with other people’s emotions: creating the needed mood, inspiring, sympathizing, and sharing experiences. They manage the atmosphere gently and harmoniously and can enliven a conversation, add warmth, and make it more expressive.

3. Si — Role Function: Comfort

INFp tries to take care of comfort and everyday matters, but this comes more as a role. They may do something pleasant for others, such as preparing food or creating a cozy setting, but bodily comfort and physical details are less natural and somewhat tense when it comes to themselves.

4. Te — Vulnerable Function: Practicality

This is the most sensitive area. INFp finds it difficult to be strictly rational and businesslike, quickly calculate benefit, and achieve concrete results. Pressure from business-oriented people who demand reporting and efficiency can be tiring and even irritating.

5. Se — Suggestive Function: Force

INFp appreciates having someone nearby who can act decisively, protect, and show strength and assertiveness. Such a person helps them feel more confident and secure.

6. Ti — Activating Function: Structure

INFp becomes more engaged around people who can calmly and clearly explain how complex things work and build logical frameworks. This helps them bring order to their thoughts and understand the world better.

7. Ne — Limiting Function: Possibilities

INFp can be critical of excessive fuss, numerous hypotheses, and fantasies that are not connected to deeper meaning and time. They dislike superficial movement between alternatives and prefer immersion in what matters most.

8. Fi — Background Function: Relations

INFp naturally senses how people relate to one another, knows how to be tactful and friendly, and avoids conflict. For them, this is a familiar background that helps maintain harmony and emotional closeness with others.
